Brotherhood of Saint Benedict

The Brotherhood of Saint Benedict aims to offer the lay faithful and secular priests a fraternal and spiritual structure to help them in their daily lives to better follow the Commandments of God and of the Church.

In a Benedictine spirit, they will learn to pray from the liturgical books, to practice humility and obedience with regard to the internal regulations of the Brotherhood, to study the doctrine of the Church and, above all, to mutually exercise fraternal charity until death.

The members of the Brotherhood meet if possible once every 2 months around their spiritual Father. (it was agreed, following the recent arrival of 2 new members, a meeting every first Sunday of the month, as long as it is useful.)

The life of Saint Benedict

Those who love your Order will die in holiness, an angel promised Saint Benedict.
Those who love your Order will die in holiness, an angel promised Saint Benedict.

Around the year 480 lived near Rome a Christian family that gave the Church Saint Benedict and Saint Scholastica.

About fifteen years old, Benedict retired to the mountain of Subiaco to pray to God and live in penance.

Many disciples gathered around him, notably Saint Maurus and Saint Placid...

He went on to found the abbey of Monte-Cassin, between Rome and Naples, where he died in 547, after having received the last rites standing before the altar of the church.

Saint Benedict wrote a Rule remarkable for his supernatural spirit and his wisdom.
